A conversa começou quando um usuário cego, identificado como “Macbooksareexpensive”, abriu um espaço em um fórum para que outras pessoas fizessem perguntas sobre sua experiência de vida.
Entre os diversos questionamentos, o que mais chamou atenção foi sobre como seus sonhos mudaram ao longo do tempo.
“Macbooksareexpensive” revelou que não nasceu completamente cego, mas sempre viveu com visão muito limitada. No entanto, há cerca de quatro anos, ele perdeu totalmente a visão de forma repentina. Ele relatou que o processo foi confuso e que, nos primeiros momentos, acreditava estar enxergando, mesmo sem conseguir distinguir o que via.

Com o tempo, ele começou a perceber como a ausência da visão afetava a forma como sonhava. Em resposta a uma pergunta, explicou que ainda “vê” coisas em seus sonhos, mas que a qualidade visual dos sonhos não é mais a mesma. “Minha mente tem apenas algumas memórias visuais para usar como base, então meus sonhos se tornaram menos nítidos”, afirmou.
Outro detalhe interessante compartilhado por “Macbooksareexpensive” é que ele vive com a síndrome de Charles Bonnet, uma condição que afeta pessoas que perderam parte ou toda a visão. Essa síndrome pode causar alucinações visuais, como padrões de cores ou até mesmo imagens complexas.
