A visitação é gratuita e ocorre de terça a sábado, das 7h às 18h, e domingo, das 7h às 15h. O Festival de Camarão ocorre no Mercado de Peixes de Santos, na avenida Mário Covas Júnior, 3050, no bairro Ponta da Praia.

Os consumidores de frutos do mar podem ter notado que houve um aumento no preço do camarão no primeiro trimestre de 2025. Isso ocorreu porque está proibida a pesca desse animal. Com a baixa oferta e grande procura, tornou-se bastante salgado preparar pratos com camarão.
Uma das variedades mais consumidas no Brasil, por exemplo, é o “sete barbas”, o quilo chegou a mais de R$ 50 durante o defeso, segundo comerciantes locais. No Festival de Camarão, porém, o preço está por R$ 29,90 o quilo, o que representa uma redução de 40% no valor.

Outras variedades disponíveis são o famoso camarão-rosa, cujo quilo caiu de R$ 250 para R$ 160. Enquanto o camarão-pistola, que pode chegar a até 10 centímetros de comprimento, teve o quilo reduzido de R$ 280 para R$ 220.
