O estúdio de animação norte-americano Pixar é um dos mais famosos e mais consagrados de toda a indústria cinematográfica.

Com filmes que moldaram gerações – como “Toy Story” (1995), “Monstros S.A” (2001), “Os Incríveis” (2004), “Up – Altas Aventuras” (2009) e “Viva – A Vida é uma Festa” (2017) – o estúdio de quase 40 anos de existência continua a inovar em suas animações que cativam pessoas de todas as idades.
A mais nova aposta da Pixar está no formato narrativo de série. Produção original da Disney Plus, “Ganhar ou Perder” será o primeiro seriado animado pela Pixar, com estreia marcada para este domingo (16/2). Uma série derivada do filme Divertida Mente já está disponível no Disney+.
Apesar de ter tido a sua produção anunciada há muito tempo – desde o lançamento do serviço de streaming da Disney em 2019 – “Ganhar ou Perder” será finalmente disponibilizado em 2025. A série gira em torno de um time misto de ensino fundamental de softbol, esporte parecido com beisebol.

A história se a 1 semana antes da primeira partida da equipe no campeonato estadual, um acontecimento inédito que acaba mexendo com as emoções de todos os personagens. Cada um dos oito episódios irá focar na perspectiva de um personagem diferente, explorando como cada pessoa pode ter uma visão distinta do mesmo acontecimento.
Como de costume nas histórias da Pixar, os episódios não são centrados apenas nos personagens infantis da trama. Isso porque eles também exploram a perspectiva dos pais e do próprio treinador da equipe, ampliando o potencial de conexão da produção.
Apesar de abordar temas quase universais, principalmente no mundo dos esportes, “Ganhar ou Perder” se envolveu em uma polêmica ao revelar que um dos arcos narrativos que envolvia o tema de transição de gênero seria excluído da história.
