A Ecovias apresentou estudos que revelam que a futura terceira pista da rodovia dos Imigrantes, em São Paulo, terá 17,3 quilômetros em túneis por dentro da serra.

Essa nova pista terá um total de 21,5 quilômetros, criando uma nova ligação entre o Planalto e a Baixada Santista, iniciando no km 43 da Imigrantes com o ao Rodoanel Mário Covas e chegando na Baixada Santista, em uma conexão ao quilômetro 265 da Rodovia Cônego Domênico Rangoni.
Segundo o Governo do Estado, haverá uma maior fluidez do tráfego como o rodoviário ao litoral e de cargas na área do Porto de Santos. Na busca de prever um impacto menor possível ao meio ambiente e a mata preservada na região da serra, a obra vê nos túneis o caminho mais rápido e menos prejudicial à vegetação.
Segundo os dados do levantamento da concessionária, o maior túnel de um complexo formado por quatro agens dentro da serra, terá 6.023 metros, ando o da Nova Tamoios, também no litoral paulista.

Já os outros três túneis têm cerca de 3 km, 2,8 km e 2,5 km de extensão, com pequenos trechos em superfície e viadutos.
Segundo a Ecovias, o investimento será de cerca de R$ 6,5 bilhões e a sua entrega está prevista para 2031, o que simboliza que a obra será de cinco anos.
A terceira pista deve promover uma agilidade na circulação dos veículos na chegada e na saída do litoral, como em períodos mais procurados, já que a pista poderá operar na descida e caso necessário, invertida para subida em direção a Capital.

Já o edital de licitação do Túnel Imerso Santos–Guarujá foi republicado no Diário Oficial do Estado, nesta segunda-feira (9/6), pelo Governo de São Paulo.
O projeto é uma parceria entre a Secretaria de Parcerias em Investimentos (SPI) e o Ministério de Portos e Aeroportos. O leilão está previsto para o dia 5 de setembro deste ano, na sede da B3, em São Paulo.
