A Prefeitura de Taboão da Serra, na Grande São Paulo, demonstrou preocupação com as faltas dos moradores durante as consultas nas Unidades Básicas de Saúde (UBSs).

O balanço foi divulgado em uma audiência pública na Câmara na última quinta-feira (29/5). Em média, 27% das consultas médicas agendadas não são atendidas por falta de comparecimento dos pacientes, o que representa um em cada quatro atendimentos perdidos. As informações também foram divulgadas pelo "Portal O Taboanense".
Segundo os dados apresentados, a UBS do Jardim Clementino lidera o índice de faltas, com 36% de absenteísmo, seguida pela UBS Maria José Albuquerque (33%) e Oliveiras-Marabá (33%).
Outras unidades também apresentam números preocupantes: UBS Parque Pinheiros (30%), Record (28%), Parque Laguna (27%), Silvio Sampaio (27%) e Santo Onofre (27%).

“Na UBS Maria José Albuquerque, 33% das consultas agendadas têm ausência. Isso significa que, a cada três pacientes, um não comparece. É uma taxa muito alta”, alertou Durval Toledo, representante da secretaria municipal de saúde durante a audiência.
Os dados divulgados se referem exclusivamente a faltas não justificadas.
Segundo a explicação, ausências por motivos de saúde ou imprevistos que são comunicados antecipadamente à unidade de saúde não entram na estatística. Confira tabela com balanço abaixo:

Foto: Divulgação/PMTS“Esses casos que estamos considerando são de pacientes que confirmaram a consulta, mas não apareceram e também não justificaram. Ou seja, não ligaram para reagendar nem comunicaram o agente comunitário”, esclareceu Toledo.
O absenteísmo impacta diretamente a organização do sistema de saúde pública e o aproveitamento da estrutura disponível, afetando o o de outros pacientes a consultas e exames.
A Secretaria de Saúde estuda implementar ações de conscientização e estratégias para reduzir as faltas, como campanhas educativas e reforço na comunicação com os usuários do sistema.

Em agosto do ano ado, a Gazeta divulgou que a Prefeitura de Taboão da Serra ampliou o horário de atendimento de algumas unidades de saúde da cidade.
