A Prefeitura de São Paulo inicia a entrega de agasalhos aos pets da população em situação de rua na Praça da República, no centro da capital paulista.

A Operação Baixas Temperaturas, acionada sempre que os termômetros ou a sensação térmica atingem 13°C ou menos, foi retomada às 18h desta quinta-feira (29/5). Iniciativas como a que transformou uma estação de metrô em abrigo são realizadas para amenizar os impactos causados à população em situação de rua devido à queda de temperatura.
A campanha de arrecadação de roupas e cobertores para os animais da população de rua da capital começou em 16 de maio deste ano, e ainda é possível contribuir.
São aceitas doações de cobertores, mantas e roupas para animais em bom estado.

A entrega dos itens pode ser feita na sede da Coordenadoria de Saúde e Proteção ao Animal Doméstico (Cosap), na zona norte, ou em postos de coleta parceiros em várias regiões da cidade.

Além da ação com foco nos animais, serão montadas dez tendas em todas as regiões da cidade, das 18h às 0h, nas quais são distribuídos alimentos como sopa, pão, chocolate quente e água.

Haverá ambulâncias e equipe médica para agilizar o atendimento, quando necessário, e serão fornecidos cobertores para aqueles que não aceitarem seguir para os serviços de acolhimento da rede socioassistencial.
