A Prefeitura de Santo André vacinou 5.347 pessoas contra a gripe durante o fim de semana nos quatro shoppings da cidade.

A ação da prefeitura foi intensificada para proteger a população durante o outono, quando aumentam os casos de doenças respiratórias.
A ação foi realizada gratuitamente no Shopping ABC, Grand Plaza Shopping, Atrium Shopping e Shoppinho.
No sábado (31), foram aplicadas 3.104 doses da vacina, enquanto no domingo (1º), outras 2.243 pessoas foram imunizadas, totalizando 5.347 doses aplicadas nos dois dias de mobilização.

O secretário municipal de Saúde, Pedro Seno, reforçou a importância de buscar o público-alvo com ações descentralizadas.
“Temos feito um grande esforço para levar a vacinação além das unidades de saúde, alcançando a população em locais de grande circulação. A gripe pode causar complicações graves, especialmente entre idosos, crianças e gestantes”, explicou.
A campanha está disponível nas 34 unidades básicas de saúde da cidade, das 8h às 16h, para todas as pessoas acima dos 6 meses.

A orientação é para que moradores procurem a unidade mais próxima da residência e mantenham a caderneta de vacinação em dia.
A cobertura vacinal dos grupos prioritários definidos pelo Ministério da Saúde ainda está abaixo do ideal no município do ABC Paulista.
Entre os idosos com mais de 60 anos, que somam 148.552 pessoas, 61.790 já foram vacinados, o que representa uma cobertura de 41,6%.

Entre as crianças de 6 meses a 5 anos, 11 meses e 29 dias, das 44.286 previstas, apenas 8.719 receberam a vacina, o que equivale a 19,7% de cobertura. Já entre as gestantes, de um total de 5.534, foram aplicadas 1.521 doses, alcançando 27,5% de cobertura.
Ainda conforme a Pasta, a vacinação contra a gripe é fundamental para reduzir internações, complicações e óbitos causados por infecções respiratórias, especialmente entre os grupos mais vulneráveis.
Além de proteger quem recebe a dose, a vacina contribui para diminuir a circulação do vírus na comunidade, ajudando a evitar surtos e sobrecarga no sistema de saúde.
