Um estudante de 13 anos, que morava em São Paulo, morreu afogado em Bonito, no Mato Grosso do Sul, nesta terça-feira (10/6), enquanto participava de uma excursão escolar.

Segundo a Polícia Civil de Mato Grosso do Sul, o jovem foi identificado como Soma Ishii e participava de um eio na Estância Mimosa.
Ele participava de uma trilha com um grupo de dez pessoas, quando o grupo parou para tomar banho em uma das cachoeiras do local.
A turma só percebeu a falta do menino no momento em que se reunia para ir embora. O adolescente foi encontrado submerso.

Ele foi retirado da água e recebeu manobras de ressuscitação até a chegada do Corpo de Bombeiros. O menino foi levado ao hospital mais próximo, mas já chegou sem sinais vitais.
A escola, The British College of Brazil, lamentou a morte e afirmou estar de luto. Além disso, a direção da escola comunicou que fará uma atividade na próxima segunda-feira (16/6) com um especialista para ajudar crianças e adolescentes a lidar com a situação.
Em comunicado, a Estância Mimosa disse que lamenta o ocorrido, está prestando apoio à família e colaborando com as autoridades para esclarecimentos. O espaço suspendeu a programação na terça-feira.
